Into the weekend we go! I suspect that for many of you, it may be the start of a long holiday week with the Fourth of July next Thursday. In this week's note, I've included a hand-picked selection of cool local happenings and my thoughts and ideas for your Fourth of July celebration. Plus, with the summer heat in full swing, I've included tips for keeping your home cool and safe. Stockyards Championship Rodeo Get back to your Texas roots with the Stockyards Championship Rodeo. Held in the historic Cowtown Coliseum, the rodeo will feature exciting events such as tie-down roping, barrel racing, bull riding, and more. It's a perfect evening to experience traditional Texas rodeo action and fun. Friday, June 28th 6th Annual Liberty Run 5K and Yankee Doodle Parade Celebrate Independence Day early with Denton’s 26th annual Liberty Run 5K and 1-mile walk, followed by the Yankee Doodle Parade. The event kicks off at 7:30 AM and continues through town to the Denton Civic Center. It's a great way to enjoy some festive exercise and community spirit. Saturday, June 29, 2024 A Day in Ibiza Rooftop Pool Party Party in Ibiza without ever leaving Dallas! Join the Ibiza-themed daytime soiree at Waterproof on the 19th floor of the Statler Hotel.
