This Privacy Policy describes how Matt Haistings, Compass Broker Associate, operating as Haistings Real Estate Group ("I," "me," or "my"), collects, uses, and shares information through haistingsre.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information I Collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit a contact form, request a home valuation, or otherwise reach out through the Site, I collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and any message you include.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain technical information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the Site. This is standard practice for any website and is used to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it over time.

Information from third-party tools. The Site uses analytics and marketing tools that collect data on my behalf. These tools may set cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device. Current tools include, but are not limited to:

  • Analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics) — to understand site traffic and visitor behavior
  • Advertising and remarketing platforms (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads) — to measure the effectiveness of marketing and, where applicable, to show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site
  • Form processing and CRM tools (such as Formspree, Compass CXLP) — to receive and manage contact form submissions and to track client activity on the Site for follow-up

I may add, replace, or remove third-party tools over time. Any tools I use will be subject to their own privacy policies, which I encourage you to review.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information collected to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide real estate services
  • Improve the Site's content, performance, and user experience
  • Understand how the Site is being used
  • Send you market updates, property information, or other communications you've requested (you can opt out at any time)
  • Comply with applicable laws and professional obligations

I do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.

If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

  • Compass. I am a licensed broker associate with Compass, my broker of record. Real estate transactions you engage me for may involve Compass systems, personnel, and platforms. Compass maintains its own privacy policy at compass.com/legal/privacy-policy, which governs any interactions you have through Compass-operated tools or services.
  • Professional context. If you engage me as your real estate agent, information you provide may be shared with other parties involved in a transaction (lenders, title companies, other agents) as necessary to complete the transaction.
  • Legal requirements. I may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights or safety of myself or others.

5. Texas Residents

If you are a Texas resident, you have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), including the right to:

  • Know what personal data I have collected about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Obtain a portable copy of your personal data
  • Opt out of targeted advertising based on your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the information in Section 7 below. I will respond within 45 days of receiving your request.

6. Data Retention

I retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were submitted or as required by applicable law. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of each third-party platform.
