December's numbers reflect the year's central tension: rising volume against softening prices. Plano closed 189 transactions (+13% YoY) — the strongest December since 2021 — while the median price declined 5% to $522,000, ending below the year's median price point. Days on market extended to 42 citywide as fewer new listings hit the market, forcing buyers to select from aged inventory rather than fresh supply.
